CDB Supported Features
The CDB standard is long and complex. MAK strives to support the most important parts, but not all functionality is currently supported. It is our experience through looking at customer terrains and talking to terrain providers that a good deal of the CDB standard is rarely used - and even some of the terrain tools may not support it. We strive to support functionality that is widely used and are continuing to add support based on customer demand.
Below is a list of features and their support status as of the latest product release. Please note that the data in this table may be incomplete and is intended as a non-definitive reference. More information can be found in MAK's Adding Content to MAK ONE Applications Reference Manual. If you have any questions, please contact MAK Support.
Note: Visual support indicates that the feature is rendered in the 3D/2D VR-Vantage engine, including VR-Vantage, VR-Forces, and VR-Engage. Simulation Support indicates that the VR-Forces simulation engine uses the functionality to affect behavior in some way.
Last updated for MAK ONE 2025.
Items listed as “On Roadmap” are currently in development for the MAK ONE 2026 releases - however, no commitments are made for actual release.

Notes:
The CDB must have Raster Material (005) and Raster Material textures on GS/GT models to be usable with VR-Vantage or VR-Engage with SensorFX.
CDB Chaining native concept is not supported. MAK can support CDB composition via the .earth configuration file.
