VR-Vantage and Remote Display Engine (RDE) Licensing
The RDE allows you to distribute the workload of VR-Vantage (or VR-Engage) across multiple machines. To run RDE instances on separate machines (PC 2, PC 3, and so on), you must put the RDE licenses on the machine running the “master” VR-Vantage application instance (PC 1). That machine checks out the RDE license when connecting to an RDE, regardless of whether the RDE is on that machine or another one. If you set up the RDE license only on a machine with the RDE and not on the machine with VR-Vantage, the license will not be found.
For example:
PC 1
Master VR-Vantage instance
Equipped with VR-Vantage license and 2 RDE licenses
PC 2
RDE instance
No license
PC 3
RDE instance
No license
